Over twenty-four nights, from 1 to 24 December, Jim Jam Arts will again bring their unique Advent Calendar to Folkestone. The Living Advent Calendar presents free live performances that take place in different locations around the town every evening at 6pm, presenting music, drama, story-telling and fun, all aimed at a broad audience. Local charities will benefit from collections held at each event.

The locations for this year’s Living Advent Calendar have been announced, with the first venue at 74-78 The Old High Street. More information can be found at or by visiting the Facebook page at
The Folkestone Living Advent Calendar has received support from Arts Council England (National Lottery), Shepway District Council, Folkestone Town Council and the Creative Foundation, which has allocated a grant from its Festivals Fund, provided by the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust. Other partners include University of the Creative Arts and Folkestone Quarterhouse.
