The 23rd Tenterden Folk Festival takes place from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 October 2015.
The festival offers four days of folk song, music, barn and Morris dancing, crafts and traditions, with over 50 events taking place from Thursday evening to late Sunday night. All take place in friendly venues, most of them in or close to the famous wide High Street in the historic town centre. Many events are free, and generally ticket prices are kept as low as possible.
The first event, the traditional Thursday evening concert in the Town Hall, features one of the nominees for BBC Radio 2 Folk Show’s “folk singer of the year”, Jez Lowe, together with Hudson & Cutler, who started performing together as “Hot Rats Duo” in the early nineties.
The festival is run by the Tenterden Folk Day Trust, a registered charity, which has secured a broad range of supporters and sponsors. The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust made a grant of £500 to help cover core running costs. Further information about the festival is available by following this link
