Hythe “Round the Houses” Supports Local Causes
Categories:Community | Events | Sports
Hythe Rotary Club’s annual “Round the Houses” event returns this month offering an opportunity to support runners who are raising money for local charitable causes.
This will be the 26th running of the races, which begin at 10am on Sunday 15 May, and comprise competitions for a wide range of age groups, from pre-school to primary, secondary and adult levels. The distances vary accordingly, from 300 metres to 6 km.
It’s too late to register in advance, but it is still possible to enter by turning up on the day at the Start/Finish line at Hythe Sports Pavilion in South Road. For spectators, the event promises to be something of a spectacle, with hundreds of runners, more than two thirds of them children.
More information is available online at Round the Houses. The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust has provided funds towards the costs of organising the event
