New Garden Improves Facilities at Lyminge Pre-School

Children attending Lyminge Pre-School at Lyminge Village Hall can enjoy playing outdoors much more often now that the outdoor play area has been completely refurbished. The new garden was opened officially on Friday 26 September 2014 by Cllr Susan Carey, KCC Member for Elham Valley. The site used to be prone to waterlogging, which meant that the garden was unusable for much of the year. New drainage has been installed to remedy this, and the garden now has a new soft surface with astro turf, which is hard wearing and low maintenance. The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust awarded a grant of £3000 towards the improvement works.
Lyminge Pre-School is a charity that provides Early Year education and Day Care for children aged 2-5, employing 12 experienced staff.
