Franky is a Marie Curie nurse, one of a group of highly trained professionals who provide help and support to people and their families in the later stages of terminal illness. There are around 25 Marie Curie nurses in Kent, and the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust has made a grant of £19,000, matched by funds from the NHS, to support the work of Marie Curie in Shepway.
