Folkestone Rotary has reported that proceeds from the 2019 Folkestone Half Marathon, held on 29 September, reached an impressive £34,398. President Bill Wright said: “This is a tremendous achievement for all involved and all proceeds will be supporting local and international causes.” This year, the main beneficiary was The Fifth Trust, a charity based in the Elham Valley that supports over 100 adults with learning difficulties.

The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust is a regular sponsor of the event, helping to fund organising expenses.

The 2020 race will take place on the 27th September: nearly 50 participants have already registered and others can do so either at or
