Improvements to Tayne Centre in Lyminge “Well on the Way”
Funds for continued renovations to the Tayne Centre in Lyminge have been boosted by a £10, 000 pledge from the Trust.
Development to the centre is already underway with the recent opening of a new kitchen and refurbished toilets. The next phase is now planned for the main room, The Clayson Hall, where funds will be spent restoring floors, replacing windows and redecorating.
Pamela Couchman of The Tayne Centre Development said: “The Tayne Centre is a vital community facility and is used by so many different people within the Lyminge Community. The choir, toddler groups, the historical Society and gardening and arts groups all meet here regularly and the money from the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust puts us well on the way to meeting the total needed to achieve our final goal in regenerating a much loved community base.”
